Summer is here which means many people want to head to the pool. Whether you’re at an outdoor pool or an indoor one, nothing beats a swim in the summer.

The city of New Haven has four public pools for you to take advantage of this summer. You’re going to want to call ahead to the New Haven Parks and Recreation office to find out the exact times of operation because they will fluctuate during the summer months. But, if you’re a New Haven resident, you’ll want to take advantage of this free swimming opportunity this summer.

Let’s take a look at where you can go to swim in New Haven this summer.

When you want to take a swim but don’t want to go in the pool, Lighthouse Point Park is another option. The park is open to everyone, not just New Haven residents. It’s a well-known location that offers a little beach and swimming as well as a splash pad for the kids and a carousel. If you ask any locals, chances are they’ve not only heard of it but have also visited a time or two.

The next time you want to cool off or get some swimming exercise in, check out the pools that New Haven has to offer. The Elm City never disappoints when it comes to activities!
