Football

Yale Football has a rich history in the New Haven area. During the season, spectators fill the Yale Bowl to see their Bulldogs play. The Yale Bowl is a college football stadium located about 1 ½ miles west of Yale’s main campus.

One of the most well-attended and popular Yale football matches is the game against Harvard. This Ivy League match-up draws large crowds to the area to root for their favorite teams. But, be sure to catch football games all season in New Haven.

Hockey

Hockey is another big sport at Yale. Ingalls Rink is home to the Yale hockey team. The rink has been called the rink with the “best design” across the country, according to The New York Times. Located on Sachem Street in the heart of the Yale campus, the rink is easy to get to and also offers open skating from time to time.

Other Yale Sports

Besides football and hockey, you can watch Yale teams in a variety of sports year-round. From basketball to softball, baseball, and track and field, there is something for everyone. Don’t forget about soccer, tennis, lacrosse, squash, and even fencing! When you call New Haven home, you have a world of sports right in your backyard.

The team is working to put Connecticut on the map when it comes to minor league baseball. So, any support locals can swing their way is always appreciated.
